This is a one day kayaking session where

people who have no previous experience and who would like to begin kayaking.
A kayak is closed craft, as seen in the pic.
We will be using single person kayaks which are made from a plastic material
making them tough while lightweight.

The come & try it day will be held on class 1
water, that is to say that the water will be flat, there will be no rapids or
significant obstacles but there will be moderate flow. This is always dependent
on water levels and weather conditions on the day itself.

Usually on the flat section of water above the
bridge in Slane or somewhere similar.

You should have a pair of old lightweight
trainers or a pair of canoe booties would be even better. Also, your normal
swimming gear with a towel and a tee shirt or two (which will get wet). If you have
your own wet suit that would be great but don't worry wet suits and all other
equipment will be provided. You may also like to bring a swim hat & old gloves.
This will be a cold day so bring plenty of
warm clothing.
